Witnessing it all go down tonight -- exhilirating. Would you believe that prior to this I was fairly apathetic about politics? Well, probably, considering I'm in my mid-20s. I suddenly feel there's so much more to pay attention to than I ever did before, it's frikkin' blowing my mind. I need a drink so I can somehow fall asleep with my brain racing a mile a minute. Also, I have no idea why my masterful Googling skills brought me here, but glad it did. I have literally done nothing the past several days except read about and watch this election. I'm sitting here tonight in rainy Pelago. Internet went out for a while but seems to be back now. So I'm getting a sort of jerky streaming MSNBC. And for schadenfreude there's Fox on the TV. Checking blogs obsessively. I know better than to believe exit polls but I'm still waiting for them with bated breath. Me, Katherine and the boy. (He'll be awful tomorrow of course on no sleep.) Trying to get Julia to go to sleep. It's 3:15 EST. 9:15 pm our time. It will be a long night. We have a bottle of Champagne ready if the news is good. It’s been hell, Carol.
